ABOUT AMY J.

Hi I'm Amy J.
I'm so glad that you stopped by!

"...I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord..." Philippians 3:8

"...whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." 1Corinthians 10:31b

If you'd like to get to know me a bit there are a few things that I can tell you straight off.  First of all and most importantly to me, I am a follower of Christ.  What does that really mean, you may ask...?  For me it means that my goal in life is to reflect God and His son Jesus Christ in every area of my life.... in my marriage, in my mothering, in my friendships, in my work, in my blog.  I often fail miserably, but it is my goal.  In order to reflect God, and hopefully point others to Him, I'm realizing that I have to completely give these areas of my life over to Him.  It's so hard, but I'm learning week by week, month by month, year by year...

"Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:6  ... this is my life verse and a real comfort :)

One of the most significant and most shaping events of my life was my third (well actually 5th, Ha! ) pregnancy.  You can read about what God did in my life and how he taught me to trust him... HERE.

Hmmm... let's see.  What else!?

Well,  beyond my love for the Lord, I love my husband and my kiddos... oh, so much.  I stay at home with my 4 girls and 1 little boy.  I homeschool, do laundry, pick up toys, do dishes, and design stuff.

In the Fall of 2009, my husband (Jeremy, J.J.) and I felt called into full-time ministry.  So we applied for a position at a church in Edmond, OK and off we went...  He began in the role of Associate Pastor, there... mainly working with the youth.  We were such newbies in ministry, but felt overwhelmingly at peace for the first time in our new roles.

Yet we soon became aware of the fact that God had more for us at the church...  After working with the youth for 2 years,  we both realized that Jeremy was better suited for lead pastor ministry...  and God took it from there!  Now J.J. serves as the lead pastor at the church.  Again we find ourselves in unknown territory and feel rather green!  But we are confident that God will use us to bring glory to himself if we continue to allow him to work through us, as we live by the Spirit.

Life is so rich...We are continually in awe of God's goodness to us as we tackle life together with our 5 kiddos here.  And we are looking forward to serving God in any and every avenue that is presented to us from here on out!

Okay! Picture time!

Look at my hair!  ...oh, the good old days :)  I was only like 18 there. He, He.
J.J. and I dated in high school and got married after my freshman year of college.

Our wedding... obviously.  I was 19. Oh, it was such a wonderful day!
