My Work Space... a tour!

Back in the day, one of my favorite things about blogging was taking pictures of my home!  I love to decorate and I enjoy photography, so naturally combining the two to show you all is a blast!

My oldest daughter, Alice, was snooping around this blog the other day and stumbled upon the "home tour" button.  She came to me and with an observation... "Mom, your blog is really out of date! You need to show some pictures of how our home actually looks now."   Yes, Alice...wise child... you are correct. :) So the most obvious place to start, for me, is my work space!  It's kind of home base for me during my days at home.  My work space is what technically should be the formal dining room, so it's very centrally located in our home.  I hang out there responding to emails,  keeping up with my Etsy stuff, designing and drawing, working on my planners, etc.  The bigger kids come to me for school work help or questions, the littles come begging for snacks or tattling on each other :)  But they always know the first place to look for mom is in her office/work space.

So without further delay... I present to you my happy place... my work space!

Hope you enjoyed it as much as I do!

Blessings,

V's Big Boy Room... a vintage boy's room tour

Hello Friends!

So I've been meaning to take you on a little tour of Virgil's big boy room for like a year and half... yeesh! ...But before I do that I have one other thing to tell you...

You NEED to hop on over to Natalie Creates and enter to win one of my Meal Planning Kits! She's posting about meal planning and wants to share her favorite meal planning printables (mine!) with you :)

Okay...
now onto the tour!

Hope you enjoyed the tour :)
Oh, and Virgil says "hi."

Lucy's Space Tour and some Projects Completed!

I have some things to show you!  Remember my list of things to do before baby arrived??  Well, I completed most of it...  And I'd love to give you a mini tour of Lucy's "space" (since she shares a room with her other three sisters)!  Let's begin!

First off... between my mom-in-law and me, we made a nice little stack of new burp cloths for Lucy.  I used vintage chenille and vintage sheets... I just LOVE them.   There are more of them.. but naturally about half of them were in the laundry :)

My mom-in-law also made a toddler sized bedspread for Sadie out of the same combo.  And per Sadie's request, she re-attached the fringe edging so that is was extra "fancy".  I think it's just the cutest thing... a kid sized chenille bedspread...are you kidding me??  I wish it was mine!

I Biz-ed the bumper pad for Lucy's crib (it turned out so well!)... it's the same one I used for Elsie and Sadie...  My spectacular mom-in-law made it too.  She also made crib-sized sheets for Lucy and Sadie's toddler bed out of the vintage sheets.  It's like some one threw-up vintage sheets in their room... I love it.

Well that's about it!  I'll have to show you some of the other projects soon... like V's room and his new bedding.   If you'd like to see more of the girls' room from earlier feel free to snoop around :)
