Free Printable Scripture Print!

As many of you probablyremember, this blog has been home to many free printables over the years.  I love designing things... whether based on a need in our home, for my business, or just for fun!

Around the time that Virgil was born I had an Etsy shop full of scripture prints.  I enjoyed that season of design as it reflected my desire to have scripture forefront in my life and also make that available to others.  My business gradually shifted to a different genre, but I still love to create scripture prints!

The thought occurred to me lately, that I could share some of those old scripture prints...and some new ones... with you as a means of encouragement!  I also love the idea of you, my readers, passing those scripture prints along to others who need the Word of God to meet them in their tired and broken places.  We all need the strength and hope that can only come from the mouth of God!

So!  This verse and design is a favorite... You can download it as a small art print or in a mini version (6 on a sheet), perfect for stuffing in a card or gift to a friend!   They would also be darling for planners, journals, or other crafting projects...just sayin' :)

Free Printable Stickers to Cheer You!

Hi friends :)
Happy New Year!  (a bit...a lot...late!)  How's 2017 treating you?

I feel rather blah.  I already feel discouraged about the goals and changes I had hoped to make in the new year.  It's been gloomy, rainy, and blah around here.  Usually I enjoy the quiet of winter...the need to cozy up with tea...the shorter days and the slower pace of life.

But,
I feel like I'm stuck in a funk....like the standard rhythm of life is pulling me down and not allowing me to break into new rhythms.

Within that train of thought, it occurred to me the other day that this is the longest I've been in a consistent place in life. Up until now there have been significant changes every year or so.
First marriage,
then a baby,
a move,
a job change,
a new house,
a baby,
a move,
a job change,
a new house,
a baby,
a call into ministry,
a move,
a new house,
a baby,
a new house,
a job change,
a baby.....................................................................................................

And now almost four years later,  I've found myself in a place that is entirely strange.  Nothing new.  I always said that I wanted to settle in some where.  And I still feel that on one side of my brain.  But I'm realizing how comfortable I am with change.  In fact, how much I enjoy change!  I love new houses, I love new challenges, and I LOVE new babies.  So here I sit in a house I love, a town I love, a church I love, with growing kids (that I adore!) ... and I'm feeling stuck.

What do I do with that?

What can I do but seek the Author and Finisher, my Creator and all powerful loving Father... He sees where I am.... in this GOOD, but challenging place.  And I WAIT...  for His direction, for His plans, for His peace and joy.

But it's still hard...especially because I'm impatient :)

When I realized that this was the first time in our marriage that we'd gone so long without any significant change,  I wanted to take things into my own hands....  So I told Jeremy maybe we should get my tubes untied and have another baby.

you should have seen. his. face.  :)  haha

He said no.

So we compromised and decided we'll paint a room.

:)

But in the midst of all this "lack of change,"  I'm increasingly grateful for my little creative business.  It gives me something to develop ( along with those 5 squirrely kiddos of mine).  I always have some new goal, ambition, or project that I'm working towards.  And this is most certainly a wonderful gift from God.

So I created this happy little set of Care Bear stickers the other day... for me...and for you!!  I used them in my planner, but you could use them for anything!  They make me smile and think of my childhood :)

So enjoy!  Maybe they will cheer you just a bit...in whatever place of life you find yourself :)

Tis the season of Christmas lists! ...and a free printable!

Hi Friends!

Well, it's official... we are on the count down to Christmas.  And if you're like me, that means it's time to start making lists!  There's so much to do.  oy.  So today, instead of tackling my long list, I decided to make some cute printable lists for myself...and you :)  It's called procrastination.

So for your over abundance of inevitable Christmas lists that will be made over the next weeks... I present to you these...ta da! I'm putting mine in my planner... and on my desk... and on the fridge... and on my bathroom mirror.  ha.

Free Printable Merry Mail Stickers!...and a dose of honesty.

So does it irk you that I'm posting Christmas stuff already? Or does it get you excited? I hope it makes you feel all giddy inside, but I'm very well aware of the fact that it might make you feel overwhelmed and behind before you've even begun.

Here's how I know:  5 years ago, I felt nothing but disdain for the Christmas season.  That sounds horrible, I know, but it's true.  In fact, the awareness that I was supposed to love Christmas, especially as a follower of Christ, only served as added fuel to the emotional disaster that the season was for me.

At that point in my life, I had a grumpy 9 month old and 3 young girls. I was chin deep in toys, laundry, stress, sleeplessness, freelance design work, and homeschooling.  I routinely went through cycles of moderate depression and intense physical fatigue.  So from this place, all I could see were the added responsibilities and expectations of the Christmas season.  I remember talking with a mentor of mine and guiltily admitting that I dreaded this time of year.  She asked how she could help and I found myself gushing a desperate plea to be relieved of having to make Christmas cut-out cookies with my girls.  This was one of the things they were looking forward to the most and the very thought of the mess and chaos it would bring nearly triggered a panic attack in me.  She just smiled and said why don't you let the girls come over here and make cookies this year.

It seems funny now :)  But that's just where I was at... everything overwhelmed me.

That stage lasted for a few years. Then last year as the end of October rolled around I realized that I was actually looking forward to the upcoming holiday season!  As if I was suddenly freed from a dreadful curse, I felt light and happy anticipating all that Christmas would bring.  My stage of life had shifted and the heaviness of that season was no longer so oppressive.

So if any piece of that resembles how you feel going into this Christmas season, I'm sorry...I remember the feeling so well and hurt with you.  Or maybe it runs even deeper for you.  Maybe you're experiencing loss or deep pain and Christmas is only going to intensify the reality of this.  Whether your situation is quite mild or all consuming, the answers are still the same.

Find someone to confide in and to help bear the weight of where you're at.  And if you don't have anyone, email me! We were never meant to do this life alone.  The enemy of our souls wants to isolate us.  He wants to mess with your mind and make your think things are hopeless.  But in Christ, and in the fellowship of believers we are never alone and we always have hope.

And most importantly, if you have to let everything else go... cling tightly to one thing.  Spend time each day in God's word and in prayer.  It doesn't have to be a lot, but pursue the only thing that has power to bring you out of darkness and into light and freedom.  It doesn't mean that as soon as you open up your Bible, everything will change.  But as you seek to know Christ more in this way, it will give you strength to endure and you'll find comfort from his presence.  After all, that's what Christmas is celebrating... Jesus coming near... so we could know Him and find life in Him.  Nothing else really matters.  Not even Christmas cut-out cookies :)

"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33

"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13

"Let us strive to know the Lord. His appearance is as sure as the dawn. He will come to us like the rain, like the spring showers that water the land." Hosea 6:3

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13

So if it doesn't overwhelm you, :) .....and if it helps you get excited for this season of our Savior coming near...  I have these printable Merry Mail sticker for you!

Free Printable Fall Critters Planner Lists!

Hi Friends :)

Fall is my absolute favorite time of  year for several reasons.  Some of them being... my birthday is in fall, I started dating my husband in fall, and I got engaged in fall!... if those reasons aren't enough, then there's all the standard reasons too.  It's colorful, crisp, and opens up a season of holidays!  What's not to love!?

In addition to loving fall, I also happen to really adore cute critters...especially drawing them! :)

So that leads me to the free printable..you knew I would get there eventually :)  I've combined two of my favorite things: fall & woodland critters!  And I've turned them into some super cute list inserts.

I've recently jumped on board the planner craze and am finding that is suits me quite well!  I love creating fun little extras to add some charm to my planner.  And these lists do just that.   Not to mention, they're functional!  I just punch holes along the edge and insert them straight into my planner.  But you could use them independently as well, of course.

You can either download them as a PDF through Google Drive HERE ...

Or you can click on the .jpeg image below and save it to your computer.

Make a Planner/Binder bookmark... Tutorial and Instant Download

I have this big green drafting desk in my office. I found it one happy day on Craig's List :)  We refer to it simply as the "green desk", since I have 3 desks in my office and naturally we need a means to distinguish between them all :)

This desk... is my home base during the day.  I like it because it tall and I don't need to sit down to utilize it.  I'm always moving from one spot to another during the day, hopping from one child's need to the next.  This desk always has an open 3 ring binder laying on it. ... it's where my daily to-do list is, my calendar, my meal plan (you can see what I use to stay organized here)... my random creative ideas get scribbled down there too.  I'm always drawn back to this spot, where I flip from one page of my binder to another... going about the business of my day.    So... lately I've realized it would be super handy to have a bookmark that clips into the binder to mark my place.   And it couldn't just be a paper bookmark.  I would destroy that too quickly.  No, it needed to be durable!  And thus, this project was born :)

So! Let me explain what I did... so you can make one too if you'd like :)

SUPPLIES:
*printed design pages (you can download these at the end of the post...)
*scissors
*glue stick
*clear contact paper
*craft knife, cutting mat, and straight edge ruler (these are optional, but handy)
*single hole punch
*paper clips

(forgot to include the hole punch and the paper clips in the photo... I'm tired. )

THE PROCESS:
1. Glue the two design pages together with the glue stick... backside to backside.  Use a generous amount of glue, covering the entire sheet. Then smooth out to make sure you have a good bond.

2. Cut a large rectangle of contact paper.  You are going to use one piece to cover the front and the back of your glued design sheets... so make sure it's plenty big.

3. With your glued design sheet near by, peel back the paper backing on half of your rectangle of contact paper.

4. Carefully place the glued design on the sticky surface of the contact paper.  Smooth down with your hands to make sure all the bubbles are out.

5. Peel the remaining section of the paper backing off of the contact paper and fold it over your design page.  Smooth it out on both sides, making sure there are no air bubbles.

6. Now it's time to cut!  I like to use a craft knife, straightedge and cutting mat to cut the long straight edges.  It gives a straighter and cleaner cut than scissors.  But scissors would work as well.

7. After the straight edges are cut, trim off the remaining round edges with your scissor.

8. To punch the holes in the bookmark, you need use a page from your binder as a template for where the holes are to go...  Line up your template page against your bookmark so that the "today" tab hangs over the top edge.

9. Once you know where the holes need to go, top to bottom, scoot the bookmark to the edge of the template page (so the edges are flush) and secure with paper clips.

10. Use your single hole punch to punch out the holes in the correct spots, and ta-da! ... you're done!!

Yay! Wasn't that easy!?
Now you go make one too! I designed two sizes.. the full sheet size, like you saw in the pictures, and also a smaller half sheet size.

Click on the links to download... the files are hosted in Google Drive, so you probably need to be signed into you Google account to access the files...  and remember... please... files are for personal use only.  Files may not be used for profit of any kind.  Files may not be distributed.  Enjoy!!

Free Printable Stationery Sheets....with happy patterns and doodle borders, of course!

Hi Friends!
Is your summer flying by as quickly as mine is?  yeesh... it's nuts!
Well, I was thinking about you all today, and decided it might be time for another free printable.  Am I right?

Well, do you remember these doodle border note card/place cards?  They have been a huge hit, as far as printables here on my blog go :) So I thought I'd share this coordinating larger version of them.  I figured these could be used for a number of things:
-Stationery... to write a friendly note on.
-Invites... simply print out, then reprint text on them.
-Signs or large labels... for the home or for a party, like on a food table.

Anyways, those are just a few ideas!  Leave a cheery hello if you download them, and let me know what you might use them for, kay?  And don't forget to go download the matching mini note cards/place cards!

Simply print out on whatever kind of paper you'd like and cut down the middle!

*As always... file for personal use only.  File and printed product not for resale or profit of any kind.

Blessings,

Paper Dolls! ... what I've been up to...

So while I was away in NY this past May, Jaime and I did some brainstorming....dreaming... planning... whatever  you want to call it. Our poor brains are packed full of way too many creative ideas.  Too many ideas to ever actually do them all.  But, I did jump on one of those ideas as soon as I got back home.  Paper Dolls!!!

I have always loved paper dolls.  I grew up cutting them out with my mom.  Especially Queen Holden paper dolls... the cutest drawings of babies you will ever see.  Seriously.  So I drew sweet little girl faces and darling dressings for like a week straight.  It was awesome.

Anyways! I wanted to show them to you.  I made two sets... four different little girls with each their own set of unique clothes for my Etsy store.  I cut out one set for my girls to start playing with... and we are working on the second set.

Take a look!

Meet Sadie and Millie!
Each set comes with 2 dolls, 2 party dresses, 4 play outfits, 2 pair pajamas, accessories & extras

The little dresses I drew were inspired by some vintage kids clothes and some modern clothes as well.  I happened to find much of my modern inspiration from Gap Kids clothing, HA!  ...they have such cute stuff :)

I printed my dollies out on nice quality laser printer paper (even though I use an ink jet printer... little secret tip for  ya ;) and then I used a glue stick to glue the dolls onto light/med. weight cardboard.... something that you can cut with a scissor.  It worked so well!

Each set also comes with a cute little wardrobe that can be turned into a pocket to keep the dollies and their stuff!  ...this is maybe my favorite part :)

(This is a pic from my Instagram feed...)
AND... I've included a cover sheet for each set so that they can be gifted! All you have to do is print the set, including this cover sheet and put it in a trimmed off sheet protector (clear plastic sleeve)! Seal the top off with a cute sticker or washi tape and you have an adorable gift.  Yay!  Although you can't sell the set, you can gift as many printed copies as you wish!!  Think of all the little girls you could give this to, haha :)

Well, that's enough show and tell for now.  Go take a look at both sets in my store! if you want to see all the sweet details... you'll swoon, I promise ;)
